Question:
He says in the hadith of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him):
Two are the types of the denizens of Hell whom I did not see: people having flogs like the tails of the ox with them and they would be beating people, and the women who would be dressed but appear to be naked, who would be inclined (to evil) and make their husbands incline towards it. Their heads would be like the humps of the bukht camel inclined to one side. They will not enter Paradise and they would not smell its odourصنفان من أهل النار لم أرهما بعد: قوم معهم سياط كأذناب البقر يضربون بها الناس ونساء كاسيات عاريات مميلات مائلات رؤوسهن كأسنمة البُخت المائلة لا يدخلن الجنة ولا يجدن ريحها..
Sahih Muslim 2128
to the end of the hadith... What is intended by his (peace and blessings be upon him) saying:
who would be inclined (to evil) and make their husbands incline towards it. Their heads would be like the humps of the bukht camel inclined to one side.مميلات مائلات رؤوسهن كأسنمة البخت المائلة

? Does this mean that a woman places her hair on one side of her head?

Answer:
He (peace and blessings be upon him) clarified that they are among the people of the Fire, and that they are women who are clothed yet naked, wearing garments that do not cover them. In name, they are clothed, but in reality, they are naked; either because the clothing is thin or because it is short and does not cover them. This is among the sins they committed: "clothed yet naked" means wearing non-covering clothes, deviating from righteousness and guidance, from modesty, and leading others astray; toward corruption and unlawful sexual intercourse. They do not care about the causes of unlawful sexual intercourse. They are clothed yet naked, and despite this, they deviate from righteousness and guidance toward falsehood and lead others astray. For this reason, he informed that they are among the people of the Fire, and that their heads are like the humps of camels that lean to one side. Some scholars said regarding this: it means they enlarge them, adding bulk to them so they appear large, as if they have two heads, like the hump of a camel that leans to one side, which resembles two humps. This is because they bulk up their heads with wigs or other means that enlarge the head, making them dense on their heads as a sign for them, as a mark for them. We ask Allah for safety from this.
