I vowed to fast the month of Rajab every year

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
My son was very ill when he was young, and I said: If Allah cures him, I will fast the month of Rajab every year. I have not fasted even one month up to now, because I am pregnant or nursing every year. About nine years have passed since this vow, and I am unable to fast and am not in good health. What should I do?

Answer:
This is a disliked vow. Vowing to fast the month of Rajab every year is disliked. She must pay the expiation for an oath, and that is sufficient, because fasting is disliked and the vow is disliked, so the expiation for an oath is sufficient in this case. If she pays the expiation for an oath by feeding ten poor people, giving each poor person half a sa' (a dry measure of about 3 kg) of the local staple food, or by clothing them, that is sufficient, and praise be to Allah. She does not have to fast.
