One who limits himself to reviewing only what he has memorized of the Qur'an

Question:
If a student of knowledge is occupied with seeking knowledge, and he has memorized a certain amount of the Qur'an, and he only reviews what he has memorized, leaving the rest until Ramadan, is this considered abandoning the Qur'an in terms of knowledge, even though he reads half a juz' every day from what he has memorized?
Answer:
We ask Allah that it not be considered abandoning it. However, he should, if it is feasible for him, extend his time to read the rest before Ramadan, as that is more preferable and better. Otherwise, we do not see this as abandoning it, as long as he takes care of what he has, and attends to its contemplation and memorization; that is good.
But if he has the time to read a complete recitation, or two, or more of the rest before Ramadan, that is more preferable for him.
