The ruling on eating and drinking what a non-Muslim servant prepares, and on being alone with her

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
We have received a message from a group of sisters: Maimunah, Ifnan, and Asia from al-Washm, Ashiqr. They say: We have a non-Muslim servant. Is it permissible for us to eat what she prepares and drink what she prepares? And is it permissible for our father to stay with her and eat and drink what she prepares? Please inform us about this, if you would be so kind.
Answer: There is no harm in eating what she has prepared or what she has served you, provided that she does not perform the slaughter but only cooks and serves the food. However, the slaughter must be performed by a Muslim, unless she is a People of the Book, meaning a Christian, in which case her slaughter is valid if she mentions the name of Allah over it and does not intentionally leave it out. This does not cause harm, even if she slaughters it. But it is not permissible for her to remain with you; you must remove her. This is because the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) advised the removal of disbelievers from this peninsula and ordered the removal of the Jews and Christians from this peninsula.
Therefore, it is obligatory for you to remove her and return her to her people, and replace her with a Muslim woman, unless Allah guides her through your hands and she becomes a Muslim, in which case praise be to Allah.
As for your father, O questioner, he must not be alone with her; in fact, it is forbidden for him to do so. He is like you in eating her food and the like, but he must not be alone with her, nor look at her adornments. Rather, he must lower his gaze regarding what may be visible of her, and he must not be alone with her, just as he would not be alone with any other non-mahram woman. So too your brother, and so too your uncle; all of them must be cautious about looking at her or being alone with her.
And you all must fear Allah, remove her to her country, and replace her with another Muslim woman if you need a replacement, unless Allah guides her to Islam through your efforts, in which case praise be to Allah. Yes.
The presenter: May Allah reward you.
