The ruling on praying at home for one who is far from the mosque

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
This is a message from the sender (Abd al-Karim . S. M.) from al-Qasim. He says: I live in a neighborhood about five kilometers away from the towns. During the day, and for the Maghrib and Isha' prayers, I pray with the congregation of the mosque, praise be to Allah. But for the Fajr prayer, I pray alone. Is that permissible for me?
Answer: Yes; because five kilometers is a long distance where the call to prayer cannot be heard, so he may pray alone; because the distance is far. However, if there is a mosque near him where he can hear the call to prayer, it is obligatory for him to go; due to the saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him):
Whoever hears the call for prayer and and does not come (to the mosque for prayer), his prayer will not be accepted from him, unless he has a (legitimate) excuse.من سمع النداء فلم يأت فلا صلاة له إلا من عذر
Bulugh al-Maram 2:308
So if he is in this far place where the call to prayer cannot be heard, it is not obligatory for him to attend. If he endures the hardship and is patient, and especially if he has a car, that is better for him and he has a great reward. Yes.
The presenter: You have done well, may Allah reward you with good.
