The Vastness of Paradise

A message was received for the program from one of the listening brothers. He says: Some people say that the width of Paradise is the sky and the earth. They also ask: Where is the Fire? When we tell them: When night comes, day is present, and when we ask them: When night comes, where is the day? They say: If it is night in Sudan, for example, it is day in Europe and America, for example. Please inform us about this. May Allah reward you with good.
Answer: Allah, Glorified and Exalted is He, says: [Al-Hadid: 21]. In the other verse: [Al-Imran: 133]. There is no contradiction between this and the earth. Paradise is in the sky, above the seven heavens. Paradise is above, and Allah has informed us of its width, so it is very vast and very great. The earth is below. There is no contradiction between this and that. Allah has informed us that its width is the heavens and the earth. It is above the seventh heaven, and its ceiling is the Throne of the Most Merciful, as the reports from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) have come. The earth is below this, in its place, and this is in its place, and there is no contradiction between this and that. Yes. And Allah is the One to be sought for help.
