The Ruling on Women Visiting Graves

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
The questioner says: Regarding visiting my father’s grave and making du'a for him, it is our custom to visit his grave, make du'a for him, and place some plants on his grave?

Answer:
All of this is not permissible. First, women visiting graves is not permissible because the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) cursed those who visit graves and those who make mosques and lamps at them. So women do not visit graves. Placing plants on graves is also not permissible, because this is a religious innovation and a means to associating partners with Allah.
