Ruling on praying during this fitnah (trial, discord or temptation) out of fear of going to the mosque

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
This questioner, may Allah reward you, from Libya, says: What is the ruling on praying during this fitnah (trial, discord or temptation) out of fear of going to the mosque? Is it permissible for me to pray in my house?

Answer:
As mentioned previously, if you are facing harm and you fear for your safety, pray in your house. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “Whoever hears the call to prayer and does not come to it, there is no prayer for him except for one who has an excuse.” It was asked of Ibn ‘Abbas, “What is the excuse?” He said: “Fear or illness.” Yes.
