The Muslim's stance toward mocking the Prophet

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
May Allah reward you. This questioner asks: What is the stance of the Muslim, and what is obligatory upon him, regarding what has been happening recently in the way of mocking the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him)?

Answer:
Answer: This is not new, my brother. They mocked the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) while he was alive, and he was met with vile descriptions. They said, "You are a sorcerer, you are a soothsayer, you are a liar," and so on. They said you do not deserve the message; you are an orphan. The message should be for the angels, or for the princes and the great ones. {And they said, "Why has this Qur'an not been sent down upon a great man from one of the two cities?"} [Surah al-Zukhruf 31] From Ta'if, the chief of Ta'if, or the chief of Makkah, to be the Messenger. Instead, an orphan, a poor man, is the Messenger! This is not fitting! They said such things. Allah (Exalted and Majestic is He) said: {Do they divide the mercy of your Lord? It is We who have apportioned among them their livelihood in the worldly life} [Surah al-Zukhruf 32]. So they possess nothing, and Allah (Mighty and Majestic) is the One who knows who is fit for the message. {Allah knows best where to place His message} [Surah al-An'am 124]. It is not you who propose; Allah is the One who knows who will carry out the message and is fit for it. And it is this orphan, this trustworthy man, who is fit for the message. Allah (Glorified and Exalted is He) chose him.
