Ruling on Excessive Doubt in Ritual Purity

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Q65: The questioner asks: What is the ruling on excessive doubt in ritual purity, especially during ablution?
A65: If one doubts while performing ablution, and this is not from obsessive doubt, first: we must know the distinction between obsessive doubt and doubt. If this is from obsessive doubt, he should leave it and not pay attention to it. As for if this is from doubt, he should build upon certainty. So if he doubts whether he washed his face or not, or doubts whether he rinsed his mouth or not, during the ablution, he should do what he doubted about, thereby reaching certainty. As for if the doubt occurs after the completion of the ablution, if he has doubt, he should not pay attention to it; because doubt after the act of worship has no effect.
