The second question of Fatwa No. ( 14283 )
Q2: If I kissed my wife and became erect, and I was fasting and in a state of wudu', does the fast and the wudu' become invalid, or does only the wudu' become invalid, or are neither invalidated? And what is the ruling on touching perfume while fasting; is it forbidden or disliked?
A2: It is obligatory for the fasting person to avoid what disrupts his fast or his wife's fast; because the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:Sunan an-Nasa'i 2217 Agreed upon by al-Bukhari and Muslim. If you ejaculate semen, then your fast is invalid, and you must make up this day
and perform the full ritual bath from major ritual impurity. If you do not ejaculate semen, then that is a cause for the release of pre-seminal fluid; if it is released, then your wudu' is invalid, so you must perform wudu' along with washing your penis and your two private parts, and your fast is valid. If it is not released, then your fast is valid, and the woman's ruling is the same as yours in what we have mentioned. As for perfume while fasting, there is no harm in it except for incense; one should avoid inhaling it. As for perfuming clothes and the turban, there is nothing wrong with it. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.

If any one of you is observing a fast, let him not utte obscene a fast, let him not utter obscene talk or raise his voice in anger, and if anyone insults him or wants to fight, let him say: I am a person who is fasting.
