Clarification of the authenticity of the hadith: “Whoever has an imam, the imam’s recitation is his recitation”

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Q405: The questioner asks: What is the authenticity of the hadith of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him):
Whoever has an imam, the recitation of the imam is his recitationمن كان له إمام فقراءة الإمام له قراءة
Sunan ad-Daraqutni 3:309
?

A405: This is the evidence that reciting al-Fatihah is not obligatory for the ma'mum (one praying behind the imam); rather, the imam’s recitation is sufficient. This is based on the saying of Allah the Exalted:
So when the Qur'an is recited, then listen to it and pay attention that you may receive mercy.وَإِذَا قُرِئَ الْقُرْآنُ فَاسْتَمِعُوا لَهُ وَأَنْصِتُوا لَعَلَّكُمْ تُرْحَمُونَ
[Al-A'raf 7:204]
This verse was revealed regarding prayer, because the ma'mum does not recite while the imam recites and raises his voice, so he should listen and be silent for that reason.
