The first question of Fatwa number ( 18452 )
Q1: I want to perform Hajj and 'Umrah, but I am unable to do so , hoping for guidance and assistance if possible
A1 : If you are unable to perform Hajj or 'Umrah, then Allah the Exalted has excused you, and you owe nothing. Allah the Exalted said:[Ali 'Imran 3:97] the verse. Thus, the Exalted conditioned the pillar of Hajj with the ability to perform it. So whoever is unable to perform it owes no Hajj and no 'Umrah until he is able. It is not permissible for you in this case to ask anyone to perform them on your behalf. Rather, ask Allah the Exalted to make you wealthy and to enable you to reach His Sacred House. If Allah the Exalted makes you wealthy by His grace and the way becomes easy, then it becomes obligatory for you to perform Hajj and 'Umrah. Otherwise, it does not, and you are excused in this, and praise be to Allah.
And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
