A man who had intercourse with his wife thinking that the dawn had not yet appeared

The second question of Fatwa No. ( 14224 )
Q2: Three years ago, I had intercourse with my wife in Ramadan during the night, but at the end it turned out that the dawn had already appeared, and the time for abstaining
had passed by about half an hour. I took the initiative to ask one of the scholars, and he advised me to feed sixty (60) poor people. I gave charity for this purpose, but I was unable to distribute it to sixty (60) poor people by count. Is feeding the sixty (60) poor people on behalf of both me and my wife, or on behalf of each of us individually? If the number of sixty (60) poor people is difficult to find, what is the approximate amount for both of us, and what is the method of payment, and where and how? Knowing that my conscience has been troubling me from that date until now, and it is always on my mind, especially in the blessed month of Ramadan.
A2: It is obligatory for one who has intercourse during the day of Ramadan to repent, seek forgiveness, and perform the expiation, along with making up the day in which he had intercourse. The expiation is: freeing a believing slave, and if he does not find one, then fasting two consecutive months, and if he is unable to do so, then feeding sixty poor people, with each poor person receiving half a sa' (a dry measure of about 3 kg) of food. The woman is obligated to do the same as the man if she was willing. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
