Is the tawaf of departure counted in place of the farewell tawaf despite the intention for the farewell tawaf

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Fatwa number ( 19370 )
Q: I performed the Hajj of Islam as a mutamatti' in the year 1415 AH, and I do not remember whether I performed the tawaf of departure or not, and it is more likely that I did not, but I
performed the farewell tawaf with the intention of the farewell tawaf, so is it possible for the tawaf of departure to be counted in place of the farewell tawaf despite the intention , and in this year 1417 AH I performed Hajj on behalf of my father (may Allah have mercy on him) as an ifrad, and I completed all the rituals, praise be to Allah, so was my first Hajj in 1415 AH valid, and if it was not valid, is there a way or method to rectify it, and was my Hajj on behalf of my father (may Allah have mercy on him) beneficial and valid?

A: If it is more likely in your view that you left off the tawaf of departure and did not intend it when you performed the farewell tawaf, then it is obligatory for you to return to Makkah and perform the tawaf of departure; because the tawaf of departure is a pillar of Hajj, and it is not completed except with it, and you owe a sacrificial animal if you engaged in sexual intercourse before your tawaf of departure by slaughtering a sheep in Makkah , and distributing it among its poor, and you must refrain from sexual intercourse with your wife until you go to Makkah and perform the tawaf of departure for your previous Hajj, along with repentance to Allah (Glorified and Exalted is He) for the laxity that occurred from you, and the failure to hasten to ask, as for your Hajj on behalf of your deceased father, it is valid and suffices for him, if Allah wills. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad and his family and companions.
