The first question of fatwa number ( 19226 )
Q1: I am a person living with my father in his house, and I am married and have children. Is it permissible for my father to pay zakat al-fitr on my behalf and on behalf of my children ?
A1 : If the father pays zakat al-fitr on your behalf, on behalf of your children, and on behalf of your wife, there is nothing wrong with that, and it suffices for you regarding zakat al-fitr. However, if you pay it from your own wealth on your behalf and on behalf of those you are responsible for, that is better, because you are the one addressed by this obligation. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
