Fatwa number ( 13813 )
Q: A Turkish brother sold his wife’s gold and came to Afghanistan to fight in the cause of Allah, then he was killed as a mujahid in Afghanistan . One of the Turkish brothers contacted our committee, informing us that the wife and children of the deceased are in urgent need of financial assistance, and they reside in Turkey , not in Pakistan . Is it permissible to assist them from the funds of the committee allocated for the Afghan mujahideen ?
A : There is no harm in giving the family of the deceased mujahid, whether they are in Pakistan or outside it, a one-time lump sum from the funds collected for the mujahideen, as determined by the committee responsible for distributing the aforementioned funds. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
