Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The second question of Fatwa No. ( 14215 )
Q2: The zakah in this trade, I pay it to my aunts and cousins and sisters who I am not obligated to support, and they are living with their husbands, and I consider it charity and maintaining family ties, and the rest to the women who are entitled to it, and that is, for example, (200 riyals) for each one, and the question is: Do I continue in my method of paying out the zakah, is it valid, or guide us, may Allah reward you, to the relevant authority to pay it out in one lump sum or to sponsor an orphan in Afghanistan , knowing that my zakah does not exceed (10,000 riyals) net zakah
A2 : Zakah is distributed to eight categories, which Allah mentioned in the Qur'an in His saying:[At-Tawbah 9:60] ,
If your relatives are among these categories, then paying it to them is charity and maintaining family ties, and if they are wealthy, it is not permissible to pay the zakah to them, and likewise it is paid to their husbands if they are poor. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.

Zakah expenditures are only for the poor and for the needy and for those employed to collect [zakah] and for bringing hearts together [for Islam] and for freeing captives [or slaves] and for those in debt and for the cause of Allah and for the [stranded] traveler - an obligation [imposed] by Allah. And Allah is Knowing and Wise.
