Q: We are five siblings, two men and three women, who inherited from our maternal uncle, as he had no heir with a stronger claim .
My question is: Is the woman's share half of the man's share in this inheritance, or is it less, or do they have no share alongside the men?
A: If Dhu al-Arham inherit, then their males and females are equal; because they inherit through kinship alone, they are like siblings on the mother's side. And Allah the Exalted said regarding them:[An-Nisa 4:12] Partnership necessitates equality among the partners. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
