On the plane, if one cannot find water, does one perform tayammum?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Q1: If I fear that the time for prayer will pass, and I have only water for drinking, and I have no soil, and I am on a fighter plane, and I am unable to perform wudu', should I perform tayammum by removing my gloves and striking my hand on any part of the plane, even if there is no soil? Or should I wait until I land after the time has passed, then perform wudu' and pray? And what is the manner of tayammum?
A1: When the time for prayer arrives on the plane, it is obligatory for the Muslims on board to pray the current prayer according to their condition and ability. If one finds water and is able to use it, it is obligatory for him to purify himself with it. If he does not find water, or finds it but it is not sufficient for his need and purification, or he is unable to use it, then he performs tayammum; because Allah the Exalted said:
and do not find water, then seek clean earth and wipe over your faces and hands with itفَلَمْ تَجِدُوا مَاءً فَتَيَمَّمُوا صَعِيدًا طَيِّبًا فَامْسَحُوا بِوُجُوهِكُمْ وَأَيْدِيكُمْ مِنْهُ
[Al-Ma'idah 5:6]
, and it is permissible to perform tayammum on anything pure,
even if it is not on the ground, whether on the plane's seats or carpets or otherwise. If he is unable to do that, the requirement of purity is dropped and he prays according to his condition. Allah the Exalted said:
So fear Allah as much as you are ableفَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ مَا اسْتَطَعْتُمْ
[At-Taghabun 64:16]
, and He, Glorious is His mention, said:
and has not placed upon you in the religion any difficultyوَمَا جَعَلَ عَلَيْكُمْ فِي الدِّينِ مِنْ حَرَجٍ
[Al-Hajj 22:78]
. As for the manner of tayammum for minor and major ritual impurity: one intends, then says the name of Allah, and strikes his hand on pure soil, then wipes his face with the palms of his hands and his fingers.

Q2: If I sleep on the plane, or I am called in the middle of the night for a mission and I am in a state of major ritual impurity, so I am unable to take a full ritual bath due to the tightness of time, or I forget my state of major ritual impurity and the time for Fajr enters while I am on the plane, and I know that landing will be after the time has passed, is it permissible for me to pray in my current state, or should I wait until the plane lands?
Q3: In transport flights, there is a place to sleep on long flights. What is the ruling if I have a wet dream while sleeping on the plane, and I am unable to take a full ritual bath? Do I perform wudu' and pray, or perform tayammum, or delay it until I descend from
the plane?

A2, 3: One who is in a state of major ritual impurity is not permitted to pray except after taking a full ritual bath from that impurity. If time becomes tight before being able to obtain water due to inability to get it or use it, he performs tayammum and prays, and does not delay the prayer from its time; because of the saying of Allah the Exalted:
and do not find water, then seek clean earth and wipe over your faces and hands with itفَلَمْ تَجِدُوا مَاءً فَتَيَمَّمُوا صَعِيدًا طَيِّبًا فَامْسَحُوا بِوُجُوهِكُمْ وَأَيْدِيكُمْ مِنْهُ
[Al-Ma'idah 5:6]
, and do not delay the prayer from its time; because two conditions for prayer have come together: purity and time. Purity with water, when one is unable to achieve it, has a substitute, which is tayammum, unlike time.
