The third question of fatwa number ( 14496 )
Q3: What is the ruling on one who does not pray the night prayer, meaning he prays it when the sun rises, and he is in good health but is unable to wake up at night, and he has tried many times without success?
A3: Whoever hopes to stand in prayer in the last part of the night should delay the witr until he stands up. And whoever does not hope to stand up should pray the witr before he sleeps. However, if he sleeps and does not pray the witr, he makes up his prayer as an even number of rak'ahs during the time of the morning prayer (duha). And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
