Praying over the deceased in the city of Riyadh, then transferring him to his place of residence so that his community may pray over him

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Fatwa number ( 19428 )
Q 1: Whatis the ruling on praying over the deceased in the cityof Riyadhand then transferring him to his place of residence so that his congregation and relatives can pray over him, resulting in some people repeating the prayer a second time? ؟
A 1 : Transferring the deceased from the place of his death to be buried in another place is permissible, especially if there is a benefit in doing so. However, if there is no benefit in transferring him, it is better to bury him in the place of his death, provided there is no obstacle to burying him there; for this involves hastening to prepare the deceased for burial and burying him, as the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) commanded. There is no harm in repeating the prayer over him, especially for those who did not attend the prayer over him the first time.
