Wearing a garment mixed with silk and a ring decorated with gold

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Q32: What is the ruling on wearing a garment mixed with silk, and likewise a ring decorated with gold?
A32: It is not permissible for men to wear natural silk taken from the silkworm; for what al-Bukhari narrated from Hudhayfah ibn al-Yaman (may Allah be pleased with him) who said:
The Prophet (ﷺ) forbade us to drink out of gold and silver vessels, or eat in it, Ann also forbade the wearing of silk and Dibaj or sitting on it.
Sahih al-Bukhari 5837
, and what is established from him (peace and blessings be upon him) that he
He said:
Gold and silk have been permitted for the females of my Ummah, and forbidden to the males.
Sunan an-Nasa'i 5148Sahih (Darussalam)
It was narrated by Ahmad and al-Nasa'i . Accordingly, it is not permissible to wear a garment made of pure silk or mixed silk, unless the silk is used as embroidery or the like, and its total amount does not exceed four fingers' width. This is permissible based on what Muslim narrated from 'Umar ibn al-Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him):
he said God’s messenger forbade wearing silk except to the extent of two, three, or four fingers.
Mishkat al-Masabih 4323, 4324
As for artificial silk, it is permissible to wear it; because the original ruling regarding clothing is permissibility, and because it is not the silk whose wearing is prohibited. Sharing the name without sharing the reality does not make it share in the ruling. Wearing gold is lawful for women and forbidden for men, based on what Ahmad and Abu Dawud and al-Nasa'i and al-Tirmidhi narrated and graded as authentic, and what al-Hakim narrated and graded as authentic, from Abu Musa al-Ash'ari (may Allah be pleased with him), that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
Gold and silk are permitted to the females among my people but prohibited to the males.
Mishkat al-Masabih 4341
, and based on what Ahmad and Abu Dawud and al-Nasa'i and Ibn Majah, narrated from 'Ali (may Allah be pleased with him),
The Prophet (ﷺ) took some silk in his right hand and some gold in his left hand, then he said: `These two are forbidden for the males of my ummah.”
Musnad Ahmad 935Sahih because of corroborating evidence] (Darussalam)
. Accordingly, it is not permissible for men to wear a ring plated with gold; because the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) prohibited men from wearing gold, and this includes pure gold and plated gold.
