Abortion due to fear of fetal deformity

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Q2: Some pregnant patients carry a fetus with an absent skull; that is, it has no brain and no bony covering for the head. Usually, it dies immediately after birth or two days after birth. The question: Is it permissible for us, as doctors, to terminate the pregnancy in this case so that
it does not cause the patient psychological harm by being pregnant with a physically deformed fetus, because some patients have diabetes and high blood pressure, which increases with the continuation of the pregnancy?

A2: It is not permissible to abort the pregnancy on the grounds that it is deformed, has a defective formation, or has an enlarged head; rather, its matter is left to Allah (Glorified and Exalted is He). And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
