Q3: What is the ruling on one who gives a sum of money for the recitation of the Qur'an as a vow for one of the deceased?
A3: Paying a fee for the recitation of the Qur'an for the deceased is not permissible; because that is a religious innovation, and because it is not permissible to take a fee for the recitation of the Qur'an. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
