Reading Hadiths Carries Reward

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
Evidence has come regarding the reward for reading the Noble Qur'an. Is there a reward for reading the Prophetic hadiths?

Answer:
Yes, reading all knowledge carries reward. Learning knowledge and seeking knowledge through the Noble Qur'an and through the Sunnah carries a great reward. Knowledge is taken from the Book and from the Sunnah. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
The best among you is he who learns and teaches the Qur'an.
Sunan Abi Dawud 1452Sahih (Al-Albani)
. There are many hadiths regarding reading the Noble Qur'an, among them the saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him):
Read the Qur'an, for it will come on the Day of Resurrection as an intercessor for its companions.
, narrated by Muslim.
And one day he (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
Would any of you like to go to Batahan—a valley in Madinah—and come back with two large camels, without committing a sin or severing family ties? They said: We all like that, O Messenger of Allah. He said: It is better for one of you to go to the mosque and learn two verses from the Book of Allah than to have two large camels, and three verses are better than three camels, and four verses are better than four camels, and so on for the number of verses and the number of camels.
, or as he (peace and blessings be upon him) said. This indicates the virtue of learning the Noble Qur'an and reading the Noble Qur'an.
And in the hadith of Ibn Mas'ud:
Whoever recites a letter from the Book of Allah, he will be credited with a good deed, and a good deed gets a ten-fold reward
Riyad as-Salihin 999
.
Thus, when the believer learns the Sunnah, reads the hadiths, and studies them, he has a great reward; because this is part of learning knowledge. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
he who treads the path in search of knowledge, Allah would make that path easy, leading to Paradise for himمن سلك طريقًا يلتمس فيه علمًا سهل الله له به طريقًا إلى الجنة
Sahih Muslim 2699a
. This indicates that studying knowledge, memorizing hadiths, and reviewing them are among the causes of entering Paradise and being saved from the Fire. And so is the saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him):
He upon whom Allah intends to bestow goodness, He confers upon him an insight in religion
Sahih Muslim 1037a
, agreed upon by al-Bukhari and Muslim. Understanding the religion is achieved through the Book and through the Sunnah. Understanding the Sunnah is among the indications that Allah intends good for the servant, just as understanding the Noble Qur'an is an indication of that. The evidence for this is abundant, and praise be to Allah.
