Q: It is not hidden from you, may Allah preserve you, what is being done to this religion, and the effort to destroy the creed and spread religious innovation in the Muslim community by the enemies of Allah and the enemies of His religion. Perhaps people are lenient about a small matter, but it grows and becomes severe, making it difficult to cure at that point, just as it was with the people of Noah and their images. Before you is a collection of examples that have developed until they reached a scale with two pans: one pan containing (Allah, Exalted is His Majesty) and the other pan containing (the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him). I do not know what will come after that. The brothers in the Committee for Monitoring Creedal Innovations have written this small pamphlet. I hope you will look at it and comment on it; perhaps it will contribute, by the will of Allah the Exalted, to curing this evil. May Allah guide you and make you beneficial to His servants, and may He grant you long life in His obedience. Amen.
A : It is not permissible to write the Name of the Majestic (Allah) and to write (Muhammad), the name of the Messenger, peace and blessings be upon him, next to it on a sheet of paper, on a board, or on a wall; because this action includes exaggeration regarding the Messenger, peace and blessings be upon him, and equating him with Allah, and this is one of the means of shirk (associating partners with Allah). And he, peace and blessings be upon him, said:Ash-Shama'il Al-Muhammadiyah 329Sahih (Zubair `Aliza'i) . It is obligatory to prevent the hanging of these boards or sheets, and to erase the writings on the walls that are in this form; to protect the creed, and in accordance with the will of the Messenger, peace and blessings be upon him. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his companions.
