Writing the Name of Allah and then washing it with water as a form of ruqyah

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The first question of Fatwa number ( 20385 )
Q 1: Is it permissible to write the Name of Allah, then erase it with water and drink this water , in the case that a servant wants or needs a specific thing from Allah (Exalted and Majestic is He)?
A 1 : We do not know of any scriptural evidence for its being prescribed. What is prescribed is for the person to supplicate to Allah (Exalted and Majestic is He) with the prescribed supplications. Among the books it is good to refer to for taking supplications are (Al-Adhkar) by al-Nawawi , (Al-Wabil al-Sayyib) by Ibn al-Qayyim , (Amal al-Yawm wa al-Laylah) by al-Nasa'i , and the book of Du'a' from (Jami' al-Usul). And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
