The second question of Fatwa No. ( 10630 )
Q 2: Sometimes my chest feels tight without any mentionable reason. Are there any Qur'anic verses you advise me to recite at that time so that the whispers of Shaytan leave me?
A 2 : He should recite Surat al-Fatihah over himself, and recite the Mu'awwidhat: (Say, He is Allah, the One), (Say, I seek refuge in the Lord of the Daybreak), and (Say, I seek refuge in the Lord of mankind). He should repeat the Mu'awwidhat three times, and each time he should blow into his palms and wipe them over his face and as much of his body as he can. He should also make the supplication for distress: (There is no god but Allah, the Magnificent,
the Forbearing, there is no god but Allah, the Lord of the Mighty Throne, there is no god but Allah, the Lord of the Noble Throne). He should turn to Allah and call upon Him to relieve his distress and expand his chest. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
