Q 1: What is the religious ruling on resorting to prieststhe Christiansto treat certain cases of fear, or to recite over someone who has been bitten by a rabid dog, whether the one bitten is a human or an animal?
A 1 : It is not permissible to seek treatment from disbelievers except in medical matters, such as surgery and prescribing permissible medical drugs. As for treatment through recitation and supplications, it is not permissible except at the hands of a Muslim with sound creed. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
