The one who slaughters for other than Allah out of ignorance and has died: is supplication made for him?

Fatwa number ( 14747 )
Q: Recently, we fell into shirk (i.e., slaughtering for other than Allah). We slaughtered for the people of the graveyards, and some of us died in that state, slaughtering for other than Allah. Naturally, he used to pray, fast, and perform Hajj. Among them were our fathers and many
people who died in that state while ignorant and illiterate, unable to read. What is the ruling on that? Do we seek forgiveness for them? Do we give charity on their behalf? This is regarding the deceased. As for the living now, naturally the call to Islam reached them, but there are people among them who were not convinced because of the prevalence of ignorance. What is the ruling on these people? Especially since there are young men who boycotted them and said: they are disbelievers. Their reason for this is that these young men say: these people received the call and did not respond.
A: First: Slaughtering for the people of the graves as a means of drawing near to them and honoring them is major shirk; because slaughtering is not done for anyone but Allah the Exalted. He, Mighty and Majestic, said:[Al-An'am 6:162-163] And He, the Exalted, said: [Al-Kawthar 108:2] And it is established that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Sahih Muslim 1978b , and whoever dies upon shirk, it is not permissible to seek forgiveness for him, nor to give charity on his behalf. He, Mighty and Majestic, said: [At-Tawbah 9:113]
Second: Whoever among the living with you slaughters for the awliya (close friends of Allah) as a means of drawing near to them and honoring them, the ruling is explained to him, and he is advised in the best manner, perhaps Allah will guide him through your hands. If he refuses and persists in slaughtering for other than Allah, he is given three days to repent. If he repents, well and good; otherwise, he is killed as an apostate from Islam. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.

(162) Say, "Indeed, my prayer, my rites of sacrifice, my living and my dying are for Allah, Lord of the worlds. (163) No partner has He. And this I have been commanded, and I am the first [among you] of the Muslims."
So pray to your Lord and sacrifice [to Him alone].
فَصَلِّ لِرَبِّكَ وَانْحَرْAllah cursed him who sacrificed for anyone besides Allah
لعن الله من ذبح لغير اللهIt is not for the Prophet and those who have believed to ask forgiveness for the polytheists, even if they were relatives, after it has become clear to them that they are companions of Hellfire.
Second: Whoever among the living with you slaughters for the awliya (close friends of Allah) as a means of drawing near to them and honoring them, the ruling is explained to him, and he is advised in the best manner, perhaps Allah will guide him through your hands.
