What idolaters and other disbelievers offer to Muslims as gifts on their festivals

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The second question of Fatwa No. ( 20400 )
Q 2: Festivals specific to the Hindus (idolaters) are held in India . Due to living in close proximity, they offer sweets similar to those given during the blessed 'Id al-Fitr. Some people differed on this matter; some permitted eating them on the grounds that they are not blood, while others forbade them on the grounds that they were prepared for other than Allah (Mighty and Majestic). It is known that these sweets are not made in homes, but are bought ready-made from commercial shops. I ask for your guidance.
Vol. 2: It is not permissible to accept or benefit from the gifts that idolaters and other disbelievers give to Muslims on their festivals and religious occasions; because accepting them entails affirming their falsehood and being pleased with what they are upon. Therefore, the Muslim should beware of that and be cautious regarding his religion. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
