If one eats from what was slaughtered at a shrine
Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The ninth question of the fatwa number ( 5741 )
Q9: If one eats from what the name of Allah was not mentioned over, such as a feast for a shrine, for example , is he an associate of partners with Allah or has he committed a forbidden act?
A9: It is not permissible to eat from what was dedicated to other than Allah, such as the slaughters that
the people of shrines offer to the people of graves as a means of drawing near to them; because it is ruled as carrion. However, the one who eats from it does not become a disbeliever thereby if he does not consider it lawful, but rather what led him to eat was ignorance of the legal ruling, or laxity. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
