Q 3: A woman gave her husband a pledge that if he died, she would not marry anyone after him until Allah gathers them together on the Day of Resurrection by His mercy and favor. Is it permissible for her to marry after his death, and is this considered
a failure to fulfill the pledge, which is a characteristic of the hypocrites? Please issue a ruling for us, may Allah reward you with good.
3: It is permissible for this woman to marry after the death of her husband, and she must expiate for her oath; based on the saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him):Sunan an-Nasa'i 3780Sahih (Darussalam) , and his saying (peace and blessings be upon him): Sahih al-Bukhari 6622 , and marriage is better for this woman than remaining without it;
because of the many benefits it contains. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.

By Allah, I do not swear an oath and then see something better than it, but I offer expiation for my oath and do that which is better.
إني لا أحلف على يمين وأرى غيرها خيرًا منها، إلا كفرت عن يميني وأتيت الذي هو خيرand whenever you take an oath to do something and later you find that something else is better than the first, then do the better one and make expiation for your oath.
إذا حلفت على يمين فرأيت غيرها خيرًا منها، فكفر عن يمينك وأتِ الذي هو خيرbecause of the many benefits it contains. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
