I swore an oath that this man would be forbidden to me and that I would not speak to him, while he lives among us

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Fatwa No. ( 8930 )
Q: One of my relatives caused fitnah (trial, discord or temptation) within my family, so I swore an oath that this man would be forbidden to me, and that I would not speak to him , and he lives with me in the same residence, as he has repeated the fitnah (trial, discord or temptation) several times
A: If you speak to the aforementioned person, you must pay the expiation for the oath, which is:
feeding ten poor people from what you usually eat, or clothing them, or freeing a believing slave. If you cannot find the means to do so, fast for three days. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
