Drinking intoxicants as medicine by analogy with wearing silk for healing

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The third question of the fatwa number ( 7290 )
Q3: We know that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) permitted some Muslims to wear silk as a treatment for them. Can we apply this by analogy and drink intoxicants if they are prescribed to us as a treatment?
A3: That is not permissible; because silk is lawful for women, and it was forbidden for men for a specific reason, so it was permitted for them due to the need for it. This is unlike intoxicants, which are forbidden for everyone absolutely due to the magnitude of their harm. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
