His father asks him to bring him tobacco

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Fatwa number ( 13132 )
Q: I am a young, educated man, and I have a father, may Allah guide him, who smokes tobacco. We live in a remote village far from the markets. Because of the large number of religious young men in the area, the sale and purchase of tobacco and dealing in it have been prohibited in our grocery stores due to the prohibition and the Islamic, physical, and financial harms involved. Therefore, I must endure difficult journeys to bring tobacco to my father, knowing that the roads are rough. I have refused to bring this evil thing to my father several times, but I have found that my refusal causes psychological problems between me and my smoking father. I have made every effort and shown all my attempts to get him to quit smoking, but to no avail and with no benefit. I brought him booklets about the week of tobacco and its harms, but my father refused them. The question now is: What method should I follow to please my father and stay away from forbidden things and dealing in them?
What is the ruling if I do this in advance to please my father (bringing tobacco)? What is the ruling if I disobey my father in bringing this evil thing? Please inform us, may Allah reward you with good.

A: It is not permissible for you to bring tobacco to your father, even if he asks you to, because there is no obedience to a created being in disobedience to the Creator. You should be gentle in doing good to your father and treating him with kindness. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
