The third question of Fatwa number ( 6339 )
Q 3: If a woman nursed another woman's child while she was sleeping, and when she woke up she found the child in her lap holding her breast, and she does not know what he nursed from her, is it permissible for him to marry her daughters or not?
A 3 : If the child’s nursing from the woman was five breastfeedings or more within the two-year period, then it is not permissible for him to marry her daughters; Allah the Exalted said:[An-Nisa 4:23] up to His saying: [An-Nisa 4:23] , and He the Exalted said: [Al-Baqarah 2:233] , and it is established from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) that he said: Sahih al-Bukhari 3105 , and it is established from the hadith of Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that she said: (It was among what was revealed from the Qur'an
ten known breastfeedings that prohibit [marriage]), then they were abrogated by: five known [breastfeedings], and the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) passed away while the matter was on that [basis]). It is known that a breastfeeding is: when the child holds the breast and then sucks milk from it; if he leaves it to breathe or move, that is one breastfeeding; if he returns and then sucks milk, that is a second breastfeeding, and so on. And if the nursing is less than five, or after the two-year period, or there is doubt in the number of breastfeedings—whether it is five or less?—then there is no prohibition, and marriage is permissible. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
