Reciting the verse: "Indeed, Allah and His angels send blessings upon the Prophet"

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Fatwa number ( 1760 )
Q1: If a Muslim wishes to send blessings upon the Prophet and says:
Indeed, Allah confers blessing upon the Prophet, and His angels [ask Him to do so]. O you who have believed, ask [Allah to confer] blessing upon him and ask [Allah to grant him] peace.
[Al-Ahzab 33:56]
Is this an innovation?

A1: If a Muslim recites this verse to guide those around him to the virtue of sending blessings and peace upon the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and to alert them to it so that they strive to
act upon this virtue hoping for reward, then it is not an innovation; rather, it is praiseworthy and rewarded. And if the people addressed send blessings upon him (peace and blessings be upon him), he will have a reward like theirs; based on the saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him):
One who guides to something good has a reward similar to that of its doer.
Sahih Muslim 1893a
narrated by Muslim in (Sahih). And if he makes reciting this verse a habit for himself when he desires to send blessings upon the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) - then this practice was not in the time of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), nor in the time of his Companions, and it was not known from the Imams of the Salaf, so it should be left

Q 2: If a Muslim says after the adhan:
O Allah, the Lord of this complete call and of this prayer, which is going to be established! Give Muhammad Al-Wasila and Al-Fadila and raise him to Al-Maqam-al-Mahmud which You have promised himاللهم رب هذه الدعوة التامة، والصلاة القائمة، آت محمدًا الوسيلة والفضيلة، وابعثه مقامًا محمودًا الذي وعدته، إنك لا تخلف الميعاد
Sahih al-Bukhari 4719
Is his saying in that: "You do not break Your promise" an innovation?

A 2: The principle regarding restricted dhikr and other acts of worship is to adhere to what has come in their wording and manner in the Book of Allah and the Sunnah of His Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him); based on what was narrated by al-Bukhari and others from al-Bara' ibn 'Azib (may Allah be pleased with him) who said: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
When you come to your bed, perform wudu as you do for prayer, then lie down on your right side, then say: O Allah, I submit my face to You, I entrust my affair to You, I cast my back upon You, in hope and fear of You, there is no refuge and no escape from You except to You. O Allah, I believe in Your Book which You revealed and Your Prophet whom You sent. If you die during your night, you will be upon the fitrah. And make these the last words you speak. He said: I repeated it to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and when I reached: O Allah, I believe in Your Book which You revealed, I said: and Your Messenger. He said: No, and Your Prophet whom You sent.
. So the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) refused to allow al-Bara' ibn 'Azib to place the word "and your Messenger" in place of the word "and your Prophet" in the dhikr and supplication at sleep. And the phrase: "You do not break Your promise," although it did not come in the supplication seeking the means to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) after the adhan in the six books of Sunan, but it was narrated by al-Bayhaqi in (his Sunan) through the route of 'Ali ibn 'Iyash who said: Narrated to us Shu'ayb ibn Abi Hamzah , from Muhammad ibn al-Munkadir , from Jabir ibn 'Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with them both), and he mentioned the hadith, and added at the end:
You do not break Your promise
Muwatta Malik 20:132
And on this basis, adding it to the supplication seeking the means to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) after the adhan is not an innovation

Q 3: If a Muslim says after finishing the prayer:
"O Allah, You are As-Salam, and from you is As-Salam. You are blessed, O One of Magnificence and Generosity."
Sunan Abi Dawud 1512Sahih (Al-Albani)
and adds to it:
(And to You returns the peace) Is this addition an innovation?

A 3: It was mentioned in the answer to the second question that the principle regarding dhikr and other acts of worship is to stand by what has come in their wording and manner, so nothing is subtracted from them, nothing is added to them, and their manners are not changed. And what is established in the six books of Sunan of dhikr in this form is:
"O Allah, You are As-Salam, and from you is As-Salam. You are blessed, O One of Magnificence and Generosity."
Sunan Abi Dawud 1512Sahih (Al-Albani)
And in a narration:
Blessed are You, Possessor of Majesty and Honor.
Jami` at-Tirmidhi 298Sahih (Darussalam)
And the addition: (And to You returns the peace) or the addition (And to You is the peace) did not come, as far as we know, except in (Sunan of al-Bayhaqi ) through the route of Dawud ibn Rashi'd who said: Narrated to us al-Walid ibn Muslim , narrated to us al-Awza'i from Ibn 'Ammar from Abu Asma' , and he mentioned the hadith and in it: (And to You is the peace) And in its chain is al-Walid ibn Muslim al-Qurashi who is one of the men of the Sunan, a preserver and precise, except that he used to practice tadlis of tawiyah (concealment of a defect by making the chain appear continuous). al-Daraqutni said: (He used to have al-Walid send [narrations], he would narrate from al-Awza'i hadiths that were with al-Awza'i from weak sheikhs from sheikhs whom al-Awza'i had met, so he would drop the names of the weak ones and make them from al-Awza'i from Nafi' and from 'Ata' ). And Salih ibn Muhammad said: I heard al-Haytham ibn Kharijah say: (I said to al-Walid : You have corrupted the hadith of al-Awza'i , he said: How? I said: You narrate from al-Awza'i from Nafi' and from al-Awza'i from al-Zuhri and Yahya ibn Sa'id
and others insert between al-Awza'i and Nafi' 'Abdullah ibn 'Amir , and between him and al-Zuhri Ibrahim ibn Murrah and Qarah and others, so what drives you to this? He said: I make al-Awza'i [narrate] from these. I said: If al-Awza'i narrates from these, and these are weak: hadiths that are munkar (denounced), and you drop them and make them from the narration of al-Awza'i from the trustworthy ones, it weakens al-Awza'i , he said: So he did not pay attention to my words. And on this basis, it is not valid to use it as evidence, and the addition of this phrase to this dhikr after the prayer is an innovation. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send blessings and peace upon our Prophet Muhammad and his family and his Companions.
