Q: If a person has a matter that is a cause
of corruption in his humanity in this world and the Hereafter, how should he act so that Allah takes him out of this lowly affliction and makes him happy in both abodes ?
A: He must read in the Book of Allah and the Sunnah of His Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him), and reflect on the rulings and admonitions contained therein. He should study the jurisprudence of his religion, keep the company of the people of knowledge, and listen to their lessons and lectures. He should act upon what he has learned, associate with the righteous, and beware of the wicked, avoiding their gatherings. He should increase his remembrance of Allah and the Hereafter, for whoever fears Allah, He will make ease for him in his affairs, guide his heart to the straight path, and protect him from the schemes and whispers of Satan. And Allah, Glorified and Exalted is He, is the Guide to the straight path. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
