Deception in the Recruitment of Workers
Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The second question of Fatwa No. ( 2206 )
Q2: A man does not have the authority to sponsor his wife, and he wants to bring her to Bahrain . She cannot arrive unless a request is made for her on the basis of a nanny, and officially they refer to her as a nanny for other people's children. The one who will process her visa intends for her to be a housekeeper, meaning a nanny for his own children. Is this permissible, or is it considered lying?
A2: If this woman, upon arriving, works as a nanny for the children of the person under whose sponsorship she enters, then there is nothing wrong with that. However, if she is coming on the premise that she will stay with her husband and will not work as a nanny, and her recruitment under the name of a nanny is merely a ruse, then it is not permissible, and this is forbidden lying.
And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
