Some people call out to their father or their shaykh when standing up

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The second question of Fatwa No. ( 20940 )
Q 2: We have some ignorant people who say, “O my father” and “O so-and-so the shaykh,” and we do not know whether they believe in this or if they are just saying it without believing. We do not know, knowing that they say these things when standing up, when sitting down, and when talking if a person speaks with them. The question is: Is everyone who utters these phrases considered a mushrik (one who associates partners with Allah) committing major shirk (associating partners with Allah) that takes them out of the religion? Please inform us, may Allah reward you with good.
A 2 : If the speaker’s saying “O so-and-so” to a dead or absent person
is to seek help from him, then this is major shirk (associating partners with Allah) from which repentance is obligatory; because seeking help from other than Allah in matters that only Allah can do is shirk (associating partners with Allah). And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
