His son misbehaves a lot; should he disown him?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Fatwa number ( 9189 )
Q: There isI have a son who is eighteen years old, and he is disobedient, doing everything that does not please his father, knowing that his mother is divorced, and he never pleases Allah. Continuous, persistent disobedience. I tried every means to reform him, and I conceded many intangible matters to him without any benefit, to the point that he was imprisoned several times for deserting the army. Is it permissible for me to disown him before the Sharia court? Please issue a ruling for us, may Allah reward you with good in both worlds.
A: It is not permissible for you to disown him because his lineage is established by the Shari'ah. Strive to continue giving him advice and ask Allah to guide him. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
