The second question of Fatwa No. ( 11778 )
Q2: About eight years ago, problems arose between my mother and my uncle, my father's brother, which resulted in my leaving my father's house; as a result of
my uncle's treatment of my mother, my father's deceased wife, and I remained in my mother's home following her, and I was about 14 years old at the time. But what happened is that I cut off my uncle, my father's brother, from greeting, visiting, and entering his house until he passed away. And when I came to my senses, I was filled with regret and feared sin, even though he did not care for me, as I grew up an orphan of my father, and in his capacity as the one responsible for me, so what do you advise me to do in this matter?

A2 : You did wrong in cutting off your uncle and not greeting him, so repent to Allah from that, perhaps Allah will accept the repentance of us and you. And be good to your uncle by seeking forgiveness for him, making du'a for him, giving charity on his behalf, and being kind to his children and relatives. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
