The responsibility of a brother toward his brother or sister who violates the commands of the Shari'ah
Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The eighth question of Fatwa No. ( 7322 )
Q 8: What is the extent of a brother's responsibility toward his brother or sister or one of his parents if one of them displays open sinfulness or disobedience , even if he tried to advise and guide him, but he rebuffed and scolded him for it?
A 8: It is obligatory for the Muslim to advise his brother with tact and wisdom, and to admonish him in
Allah, and to clarify for him the evidence from the Book and the Sunnah and the sayings of the scholars, and not to despair, and to seize the opportunity to advise whenever the chance permits. He should repeat it to him while enduring any harm in doing so; following the example of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) and his Companions (may Allah be pleased with them); perhaps Allah will guide him. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
