Marriage of a maternal sister to a paternal brother

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The first question of Fatwa No. ( 1186 )
Q1: Awis has a sister from his mother only, without their father being the same, and he has a brother from his father only, without their mother being the same. Is it permissible for him to marry this sister to this brother?

A1: If the matter is as described, it is permissible for Awis’s brother from his father only to marry his sister from his mother only, provided there is no impediment due to lineage, breastfeeding, or affinity. The fact that Awis is a brother to both of them from different sides is not an impediment to his marriage to her. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
