A woman whose family are Christians: is she prevented from visiting her relatives?

Fatwa No. ( 18109 )
Q: I got married about 10 years ago, and I am married to a sister who was originally a Christian, but she converted to Islam before the marriage contract was concluded, and I married her. I have four children from her. When we go on vacation, she wants to see her father and her brothers, so I allowed her to do so. However, she wants to see some of her other relatives, which makes me afraid that the children will see something from them that contradicts the religious teachings they have been raised with. Is it wrong or right for me to prevent her from going to the relatives? Knowing that she goes to her father and her mother, and by the grace of Allah the Exalted and Majestic, the mother has converted to Islam, and some of her relatives want to enter my house. Should I let them in or not?
A: It is permissible for your wife to visit her non-Muslim father and relatives, except if
you fear fitnah (trial, discord or temptation) in the religion for your wife or your children, then you have the right to prevent her. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
