The Use of Sorcerers' Medicines

Fatwa No. ( 18693 )
Q: I know for certain that going to sorcerers is not permissible at all, but rather it is forbidden. However, I have heard that there is a sorcerer who prescribes a medicine and people benefit from it. Is it permissible for me to use this medicine without going to him? I note that I do not know the contents of the medicine.
A: It is not permissible to use the medicines of sorcerers, even if you do not go to them; because sorcerers perform acts of shirk (associating partners with Allah), and they seek the aid of Shaytan (Satan), and there is no good in them or in their medicines. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
