Her mother favors her brothers' children over her own, and he finds fault with her for that

Fatwa number ( 1743 )
Q: My mother favors my brothers' children over my own. The reason is that she did not like my wife. My wife has children, and I am unable to divorce her for the sake of her children. I feel resentment toward my mother because of this, and I am seeking your guidance on this matter. .
A: If the situation is as you described, and your mother was not driven to this by any wrongdoing on your part or your wife's part, but rather by her lack of affection for your wife, then it does not harm you. It is not obligatory for you to divorce your wife because your mother does not like her. Nor should you harbor any resentment toward her, even if you find in her some of what you mentioned; for she is your mother, and it is obligatory for you to be dutiful to her and to be patient with her, and to bear any harm or annoyance that may come from her. This is based on the saying of Allah (Glorified and Exalted is He):
(23) And your Lord has decreed that you not worship except Him, and to parents, good treatment. Whether one or both of them reach old age [while] with you, say not to them [so much as], "uff," and do not repel them but speak to them a noble word. (24) And lower to them the wing of humility out of mercy and say, "My Lord, have mercy upon them as they brought me up [when I was] small."
[Al-Isra 17:23-24]
and His saying (peace and blessings be upon him), as narrated by al-Tirmidhi and al-Hakim , who graded it as authentic:
The Lord's pleasure is in the parent's pleasure, and the Lord's anger is in the parent's anger.
Jami` at-Tirmidhi 1899

And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad and his family and his Companions.
