Calling one's mother with the word "yuh"
Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The first question of Fatwa number ( 6753 )
Q 1: A man calls his mother with the word "yuh"; what is the ruling on that?
A 1: It is obligatory for a Muslim to address his parents, call them, and speak to them with gentleness and proper conduct, such as: "O my mother," "O my father," "O my parent," "O my mother," and the like of what conveys affection, reverence, and respect. If the word "yuh" in his environment carries no harshness or offense, then there is nothing wrong with it; otherwise, it is not permissible to call his mother by it. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
